                                                      GETTYS                                November 13, 2008
James C. Gettys (1839 - ?) - Wife Mary born Canada abt. 1840
I would appreciate any information regarding the wife of James C.
Gettys (1839-??).  Her name was Mary and the census
records indicate she was born in Canada.  James and Mary sold their holdings to GETTYS brothers and moved to Mower Co., MN
around 1866. They had a daughter, Edna, in 1867 in MN.  and soon after returned to N.Y. where they had another daughter,
Elizabeth, born abt 1869 or 1870.  Mary
Gettys and daughters were living with James mother, Eliza Jane Gettys, in
Beekmantown in the 1880 U.S. census but there is no word about James.  I would like to learn the maiden name of Mary and any
other information pertaining to this family.
